Division of the Chief Information Officer (DotCIO)

The Division of the Chief Information Officer (DotCIO) provides IT services for teaching, learning, and research and is responsible for developing and maintaining the Rensselaer information infrastructure.

Cyber Citizenship

Cyber citizenship refers to what it means to be a participant in the online or cyber community, or to be a user of information networks and their resources. The Cyber Citizenship Policy outlines the rights, responsibilities, privileges, and prohibitions for members of the Rensselaer community when using information networks and their resources.

Information Security Incident Reporting Procedure

Rensselaer’s Information Technology Security Policy states that the protection of Rensselaer information
systems and equipment, and the information they contain, is a responsibility shared by all members of
the campus community. All members of the Rensselaer community are required to report information
security incidents or suspected incidents within the scope of this procedure.

Information Security Incident Response Policy

Rensselaer is committed to the protection of all Information Security Assets owned or controlled by Rensselaer. This policy enables Rensselaer personnel to deal with a suspected or identified Information Security Incident in accordance with applicable data laws and regulations. It defines the way to address Information Security Incidents through appropriate Incident Response and to clearly define roles and responsibilities.
