Responsible for managing legal affairs of the Institute, including compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
Institute policies support management of the Institute, and protect the integrity of the Institute’s mission, reputation, and operations. They also promote compliance with laws, regulations, and ethical requirements. The purpose of this policy is to establish and maintain a consistent, disciplined approach to developing, reviewing, updating, managing and communicating policies of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

These rights include the right to reproduce or distribute a copyrighted work. In the file-sharing context, downloading or uploading substantial parts of a copyrighted work without authority constitutes an infringement, and this includes peer-to-peer file sharing.
The purpose of this manual is to memorialize procedures for the appropriate use of Rensselaer names and marks.
